How MotionPerfect Works: Step 3: Slow Motion Creates Gaps Everywhere |

To Slow Down the video, you play frames less often. You put time “Gaps” between them.
The diagram below shows a typical problem that comes about when a video playback time is extended for slow-motion. The frames are rescheduled to be played with longer times between them. In one sense, there are no missing frames – all the original frames are being played in sequence. But, when you want smooth motion, then you need to play frames at the high rate. You need extra frames to fill in the gaps. In the diagram, a 3x slow-motion is shown. This leaves two missing frame times between each original frame.
